EXPLORE THE PROCESS OF CHOOSING THE BEST LEATHER FOR YOUR PROJECT
All our leathers are tanned in Argentina and Brazil , where we have long term partnership with LWG certified tanneries. In the tanning stage of our products, the fresh hides are treated to be clean and de-haired. Then the skins get tanned to the wet blue stage, where our QC inspectors review each skin for grading; categorizing the skins for particular product. Skins then get sent to coloring, to produce our multitude of crust colors. Once the skins are drum dyed to their crust colors, they are inspected again by our QC teams before being shipped to our warehouse in Johnstown, New York.
All our crust is stored at our Edsim Johnstown location. Our production team directs our crust to our sub-contracted finishers in the area where all our finished leathers are produced. The EDSIM production team is at all our finishing plants on a daily basis following through on the production of orders. These orders span from naked Lamba, to our semi-finished Delux, to our entire Metallic product line.
Our Johnstown QC team attends to orders before and after finishing to follow through with customer requirements and expectations. Once goods are produced they enter final inspection where our team inspects and trims skins for delivery.
The leathers are then packed for shipping to customers all over the world.
At EDSIM LEATHER, we feel the importance and
responsibility to keep our planet cleaner and safer.
Our environmental policy is based on our commitment to minimize the impact on the environment with all our manufacturing, and the use of our natural resources in a sustainable way.
All of our leathers are produced in ISO-14001
Certified Facilities – from our South American tanning, to our finishing in Johnstown, NY. This certification is upheld with annual visits to our facilities to verify that we are adhering to the highest level of environmental responsibility.
